Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities – Marketing Manager (Transport/Logistics Company) Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding, surface transport, 3PL, and warehousing.
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Pitch transport solutions to manufacturers, distributors, and corporate clients.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals and quotations.
  • Convert prospects into long-term customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Address client queries, service issues, and escalations proactively.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with key clients for feedback and upselling.

Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
  • Analyze client sectors (e.g., FMCG, retail, pharma, etc.) to identify demand patterns.
  • Suggest new lanes, vehicle types, or service models based on demand.

Marketing Strategy & Branding

  • Develop marketing campaigns for brand visibility – online and offline.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to run social media, SEO, and paid campaigns.
  • Organize trade shows, logistics exhibitions, and local events for brand promotion.

Pricing & Quotation Management

  • Coordinate with operations and finance to finalize competitive transport rates.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders and RFQs. Coordination with Operations
  • Work closely with operations team to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Communicate client-specific requirements to the operations team (e.g., transit time, documentation, POD, etc.)

MIS & Reporting

  • Maintain pipeline tracker, sales conversion ratios, and client performance reports.
  • Submit weekly/monthly business development reports to management.

Team Collaboration

  • Guide and train field sales executives or tele-callers (if applicable).
  • Coordinate with billing, dispatch, and customer service for seamless client onboarding.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
