Job Description

Main Objectives of this position:

Ensure books of accounts are maintained correctly, ensuring adherence to group guidelines to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting including Budgeting and financial planning analysis. Ensuring compliances with the local statutory laws.

Function and Duties:

  • Preparation of forecasted budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs.
  • Overviewing accounting function which includes review of monthly cost, comparison with budget, variance analysis, closing of monthly accounts, reviewing IC reconciliations, bank reconciliations etc.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance are adhered to timeline.
  • Monthly reporting to management on month closing activities.
  • Preparation of projected daily cash flows.
  • Responsible for conducting statutory audit of the entity and support to area in getting the audit of the respective areas (Group & Statutory Audit).
  • Providing support to supervisor as first level of contact & providing support & assistance to senior manager and team members.
  • Providing quality assurance in terms of financial reporting and suggesting the areas where any improvement can be done.
  • Ensuring that the team is performing & carrying out the work as per what is expected.
  • Coordination within team and within inter departments.
  • Coordination with Regional team on accounting, controlling and treasury aspect related matters.

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with post qualification experience of 8-10 years.
  • Good understanding of accounting standards, GAAP’s, process & controls.
  • Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in accounting & finance profile with background of service industry
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently when required.
  • Exposure to ERP environment, preference shall be given to persons with minimum 2 years of experience in SAP
  • Strong excel skills.
