Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotics & Automation Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 2–6 years Department: Maintenance / Engineering Industry: Automotive / Industrial Automation / Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Maintenance Engineer to join our automation team. This role involves maintaining robotic systems, vision systems, drives, and electrical devices, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and minimizing downtime in a high-speed assembly environment. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment. Ensure smooth functioning and long-term reliability of critical systems. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in robotic systems and automation equipment. Troubleshoot PLC systems and resolve inter-PLC communication issues. 3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain and repair industrial vision systems used for in-line quality checks. Ensure cameras and associated systems perform with high accuracy. 4. Drive Systems Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of Siemens and SEW drives. Ensure correct operation of drive systems in automation sequences. 5. Sensing Devices Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors (proximity, pressure, photoelectric, etc.) on the assembly line. Ensure sensors are functioning safely and reliably in all conditions. 6. Electrical Hoists Maintain and repair electrical hoists and lifting equipment. Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions when required. 7. Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records including repair history, parts replaced, and calibration data. Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. 8. Safety Compliance Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment and procedures meet legal and industry safety standards. Proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards in the work environment. Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field 2–6 years of relevant hands-on experience in robotic equipment and automation maintenance Knowledge of industrial automation components including PLCs, sensors, and drives Working experience with Siemens/SEW drives and industrial vision systems Desired Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, and Kaizen principles Good documentation and reporting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team Excellent safety awareness Benefits: Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Learning and development opportunities in automation technologies Health insurance and safety-focused work environment Career advancement in a high-tech manufacturing setup
