Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Assembly Systems Department: Maintenance / Engineering Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Engineering Head Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to handle preventive and corrective maintenance activities for robotic assembly equipment and associated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting PLCs, maintaining drive systems, and working with vision and sensing technologies used in automated manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities on robotic assembly equipment. Ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition to reduce downtime and increase longevity. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose faults and repair robotic systems and automation controls. Perform PLC troubleshooting and resolve inter-system communication issues across multiple PLC platforms. 3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain and troubleshoot machine vision systems used for inspection and quality control. Ensure consistent and accurate functionality of vision-based inspection systems. 4. Drive Systems Service and troubleshoot Siemens Drives and SEW Eurodrive systems. Ensure drive systems are operating efficiently and reliably. 5. Sensing Devices Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of sensors used in the production line (e.g., proximity, photoelectric, pressure). Ensure sensor accuracy for smooth equipment operation and safety. 6. Electrical Hoists Maintain and repair electrical hoists, ensuring they operate safely and meet compliance requirements. 7. Documentation Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including service history, parts usage, and system configurations. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or a related field. 3–6 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an automated or robotic manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.), electrical circuits, and drive systems. Working knowledge of vision inspection systems and industrial sensor technologies. Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and safety protocols. Key Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Good documentation and reporting abilities Understanding of industrial safety standards Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams Willingness to work in shifts or weekends if required Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):Siemens PLC / SEW Drive certifications Industrial Robotics or Automation courses CMMS or SAP PM module familiarity
