Lead Software Engineer – Java with any Cloud (AWS/Azure)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate will excel in Java development, possess deep familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), and have a proven track record of working in agile, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain code
• Build backend microservices and REST APIs
• Conduct comprehensive unit testing
• Review code for consistency and quality
• Follow best practices, including code review, unit testing, CI and other development standards
• Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate across teams
• Estimate development efforts and assist in project planning
• Mentor junior developers and share expertise with peers

Requirements

• Total 8+ years of development work experience
• Hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Framework
• Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
• Competency in development practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and SCRUM practices
• Capability to collaborate and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Background in financial services, particularly wealth management
