Junior Accountant – Job Responsibilities (1+ Year Experience)Day-to-Day Accounting Entries Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts) in accounting software. Maintain proper documentation and filing of vouchers and invoices. Bank Reconciliation Prepare and update bank reconciliation statements regularly. Ensure bank balances match with company books. Accounts Payable and Receivable Support Assist in processing vendor invoices and follow up on payments. Help in raising sales invoices and tracking customer payments. GST and TDS Filing Support Assist in preparation and filing of monthly GST returns. Help in calculating and maintaining TDS records. Petty Cash and Expense Management Handle petty cash transactions and maintain records. Verify and record employee expense claims. Inventory and Asset Record Maintenance Update inventory reports (if applicable). Help in maintaining fixed asset register. Support in Month-End Closing Assist in preparing reports for month-end closing. Help in journal entries and ledgers reconciliation. Coordination with Auditors Provide necessary documents and data to auditors during internal or statutory audits. Data Entry and Accuracy Ensure accurate data entry and timely posting in the system. Reporting to Senior Accountant or Manager Share daily/weekly reports as required. Update seniors about pending tasks and status.
