Job Title: Audio-Visual (AV) Systems Designer Location: Gurugram, Sector 48 Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-Level (5–6 Years) Position Summary: Veneklasen Associates is seeking a technically capable and hands-on Audio-Visual Systems Designer with approximately 5–6 years of core AV experience . The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in AV system integration , audio system design , display performance analysis , and control system architecture . This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and prestigious building projects globally — including airports, museums, hospitality venues, and civic infrastructure — while collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams. Key Responsibilities: Design complete AV systems including audio, video, control, and networked AV components. Prepare system diagrams, AV schematics, signal flows, cable schedules, and equipment layouts. Conduct display image size calculations , viewing distance analysis , and sightline studies in accordance with AVIXA DISCAS and PISCR standards. Assist in loudspeaker placement , acoustic modeling , and STI/SPL performance checks using tools such as EASE . Integrate AV automation systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX) into functional AV environments. Coordinate with ICT , Security , MEP , interiors , and architectural teams to ensure seamless system integration. Participate in site surveys , technical reviews, and support installation verification or commissioning oversight. Review and redline AutoCAD drawings ; familiarity with Revit/BIM environments is a bonus. Stay up-to-date with emerging AV technologies and design best practices, especially in AV-over-IP and networked media systems . Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or a relevant technical field. 5–6 years of proven experience in AV design or integration roles. Strong working knowledge of: AV control and signal distribution technologies (HDBaseT, Dante, AVB, etc.) Audio design concepts — SPL, STI, reverberation time, etc. Display parameters — resolution, contrast ratios, ambient light impact Integration with building systems and networked environments Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings and documentation in AutoCAD . Experience in on-site AV deployment or testing is highly valued . Familiarity with AV standards and protocols (AVIXA, AES, SMPTE, etc.). Preferred (Not Mandatory): Certifications such as CTS are welcome but not required — hands-on practical experience is strongly valued . Knowledge of AV design tools like D-Tools, XTEN-AV, EASE, SketchUp, or AVIXA calculators. Exposure to network infrastructure fundamentals (IP addressing, switching, VLANs, etc.).
