Role Overview

The HR Executive plays a vital role in managing the boutique’s human resources functions. This includes recruiting and retaining boutique staff, fostering a positive workplace culture, handling HR documentation and compliance, and ensuring that employee relations, training, and engagement initiatives align with the boutique’s brand values. This role demands a mix of operational HR capability and a personable, people-first mindset suited to a close-knit retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Identify hiring needs for in-store staff, including sales associates, stylists, and back-office staff.
  • Prepare job descriptions and post them on job boards, social media, and boutique websites.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate final interviews with the store manager.
  • Facilitate offer letters, contracts, and onboarding procedures for new hires.
  • Manage background checks and ensure proper induction on company policies, boutique ethos, and product knowledge.

2. Training & Development

  • Organize and track employee training programs on customer service, sales etiquette, visual merchandising, and brand awareness.
  • Conduct refresher courses and mini-workshops regularly.
  • Maintain records of training attendance and impact.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding grievances, feedback, and interpersonal issues.
  • Organize team bonding activities, staff meetings, and recognition programs.
  • Mediate conflict where necessary and escalate serious issues appropriately.

4. HR Policy & Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and personal files (digital and physical).
  • Implement and manage HR policies including code of conduct, leave policies, working hours, and grooming standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and retail-specific employment regulations.
  • Manage leave tracking, time and attendance, and absence reports.

5. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate payroll with finance or external payroll provider ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain attendance and leave reports.
  • Administer statutory benefits such as Provident Fund (PF), ESI, bonus, maternity leave, etc.
  • Assist employees with queries related to pay slips, tax forms, or deductions.

6. HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain and update HR software or Excel-based systems for employee data and performance tracking.
  • Provide regular reports on attrition, absenteeism, hiring status, and employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in annual appraisals and performance review documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
