Freight broker

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The Freight Broker will act as a liaison between shippers and carriers to secure the transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, a solid understanding of the logistics industry, and a strong ability to build lasting business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both shippers and carriers.
• Coordinate and manage full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and other freight shipments.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and secure transportation solutions for customer freight.
• Manage shipment scheduling, dispatch, and tracking through to delivery.
• Resolve transportation issues and delays proactively and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all transactions.
• Use transportation management software (TMS) to manage bookings, rates, and load status.
• Prospect new clients and grow existing customer accounts to increase revenue.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics/supply chain role.
• Strong knowledge of freight market trends and transportation networks.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms (e.g., McLeod, DAT, Truckstop, etc.)
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
