Role Description

Java Backend Developer

You will be responsible for building secure APIs, configuring internal vs. external access rules, and aligning deployments with enterprise-grade Spring Security and CI/CD best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain

  RESTful Java APIs

  using

  Spring Boot

  .
• Implement

  CAT-level security filters

  conditionally based on

  application.yml

  flags.
• Integrate

  Shared Flow V2 (SFv2)

  for external API security using

  Apigee policies

  .
• Manage internal vs. external endpoint security distinctions.
• Ensure

  authentication/authorization

  is toggled via config, not hardcoded.
• Deploy and manage services on

  AWS

  using

  EC2

  ,

  ECS

  , or

  Lambda

  .
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to define secure deployment pipelines.
• Debug and support Spring filter chains, including OAuth2/JWT implementations.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in

  Java, YAML config, and Spring Security architecture

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of

  Java backend development

  experience.
• Strong expertise in

  Spring Boot

  ,

  Spring Security

  , and

  REST APIs

  .
• Deep understanding of

  YAML-based Spring config management

  .
• Experience implementing

  conditional security filters

  via Spring SecurityConfig.
• Familiarity with

  OAuth2, JWT

  , and

  API Gateway/Apigee

  security flows.
• AWS experience including

  EC2

  ,

  CloudWatch

  ,

• Comfortable debugging
