Job Overview:

Distributor Sales Representative (DSR)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients such as Purchase Managers, Maintenance heads, and key stakeholders in the Kutch region.
  • Drive sales of Shell Lubricants by articulating the technical advantages, product quality, and long-term value over lower-priced competitors.
  • Conduct technical consultations with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate lubricant solutions.
  • Achieve sales targets while navigating the challenges of a price-sensitive market.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to the management team.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in lubricants, industrial products, or related technical sales.
  • Technical Expertise:

    Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial applications, or lubricant technologies. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Value Selling:

    Proven track record of winning orders through value-based selling in a competitive, price-sensitive market.
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Market Knowledge:

    Familiarity with the industrial landscape of Kutch and the ability to navigate its unique market dynamics.
  • Attributes:

    Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable with a problem-solving mindset.
