Electrical Design engineer(Transformers)

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer – Transformers to design and develop power and distribution transformers. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of transformer theory, electromagnetic design, and thermal modeling, and will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs to meet performance, efficiency, and safety standards. Exprience required : min. 8 years in the transformers industry Key Responsibilities: Design power and distribution transformers (oil-immersed and/or dry-type) based on customer specifications, industry standards, and application requirements. Perform electrical design calculations including load losses, impedance, voltage regulation, and insulation coordination. Create detailed electrical and magnetic designs including winding configurations, core selection, and tap changer integration. Develop accurate and complete design documentation including electrical schematics, manufacturing drawings, and bill of materials (BOM). Use design software tools (e.g., Maxwell, Flux, ANSYS, ETAP) for simulation and optimization of transformer performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, and customer-specific requirements. Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and testing engineers to ensure design integrity and manufacturability. Provide technical support to manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance teams during production and factory acceptance tests (FAT). Address customer queries and assist with technical proposals and tender documentation. Participate in design reviews, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred for advanced design roles). 8+ years of experience in transformer design and engineering. Strong knowledge of electromagnetic design principles and materials used in transformers. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
