Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering - Experience: Minimum 5 years to 10 years of experience in electrical design and engineering - Skills: Proficiency in design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) - Strong communication and collaboration skills Responsibilities - Design and management of complex building projects at construction sites - To review, monitor and expedite the production of GFC’s. - To oversee the delivery of GFC information and ensure reviews of submitted information is performed quickly and accurately in order to process back to consultants or onward to site. - To understand and monitor adherence to the consultant’s Contract and ensure obligations of the consultant(s) are being fulfilled. - To review method statements, logistics and site coordination in collaboration with the construction team and ensure clear communications. - To review shop drawings and ensure they are coordinated ahead of submittal to consultants and then ensure comments received from consultants are clear and concise prior to returning to subcontractors. - To review, update SLD and documents such as short circuit current, voltage drop calculations etc., as required to supplement the design or construction information in order to expedite construction. - To review, prepare BOQ documents as required to supplement the design or construction information in order to expedite construction. - To review BIM modeling in coordinate with the MEP & Architecture or a related team. - Other design-related tasks as required Show more Show less
