Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in automation , specifically from Electrical or Electronics engineering . The candidate should be highly skilled in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical , and capable of delivering robust electrical design solutions for industrial automation projects. Key Responsibilities: Design electrical control panels and automation layouts using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams for automation projects Interpret technical specifications and requirements from clients, sales, and engineering teams Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards Collaborate with project and commissioning teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation Review and validate panel designs, cable schedules, and component selection Provide technical documentation and support throughout the project lifecycle Maintain organized records of designs, revisions, and updates Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Mandatory) 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design for industrial automation projects Expertise in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical Strong understanding of control panel design, circuit protection, and power distribution Familiarity with PLC wiring , field instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols Strong attention to detail and commitment to high design accuracy and quality Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams Preferred Skills (Added Advantage): Exposure to SCADA, VFDs, sensors , and control systems integration Understanding of site execution practices and testing and commissioning Experience with electrical safety standards and compliance documentation Show more Show less
