Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Electrical BIM Modeler. The Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating BIM models, collaborating with architects and MEP engineers, and producing construction drawings. They will work on various building projects to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Modeler skills
• Experience in Architecture and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)
• Proficiency in creating construction drawings
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify electrical BIM models in Revit based on project requirements.
• Interpret electrical design drawings and convert them into 3D models.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, and mechanical disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and schedules for lighting, power, and low voltage systems.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards and project workflows.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection processes using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Maintain and update BIM models through various project phases.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in BIM modeling for electrical systems.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and symbols (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Experience working on international projects (e.g., US, UK, or Middle East) is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as LOD, COBie, and IFC formats is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Autodesk Revit MEP or equivalent.
• Experience with Dynamo, BIM 360, or other automation tools is an added advantage.
