Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to maintain and optimize our cloud infrastructure while maintaining our fully managed database solutions on MongoDB Atlas and ElasticCloud.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
Implement infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
Monitor cloud costs and implement optimization strategies
Ensure security best practices across all AWS services
Monitor and maintain MongoDB Atlas clusters
Monitor and maintain ElasticCloud ElasticSearch clusters
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
Configure database monitoring and alerting
Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems
Implement logging strategies across all infrastructure components
Respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis
Create and maintain operational runbooks
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery procedures

Skills and Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on AWS experience
Strong experience with AWS core services: EC2, Auto Scaling Groups, load balancers, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch
Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker)
Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD
Experience maintaining and monitoring MongoDB clusters
Experience maintaining and monitoring ElasticSearch clusters
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic)
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
Experience with version control systems (Git)
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer) preferred
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) preferred
Knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless architectures preferred
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)preferred
Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)preferred
Schedule Requirement: Must have 4 hours of alignment with MST timezone
