Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management:

• Ensure seamless 24/7 plant operations with a focus on quality, yield, and cost optimization.
• Monitor production schedules, capacity utilization, and downtime reduction.
• Implement best practices in continuous process manufacturing (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, TPM).

2. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:

• Enforce ZERO harm policy (EHS standards – OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (FDA, cGMP, PESO, Pollution Control Boards).
• Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

3. Financial & Budget Control:

• Manage plant P&L, CAPEX/OPEX budgets, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Optimize raw material consumption, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead a cross-functional team (Production, Maintenance, QA, QC, Warehouse, EHS).
• Drive a performance-driven culture with KPIs, training, and succession planning.

5. Technology & Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement automation, digitalization (Industry 4.0), and process upgrades.
• Troubleshoot technical bottlenecks in collaboration with R&D/Engineering teams.

6. Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with corporate leadership, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure alignment between plant operations and business strategy.

Qualification

:

• B.Tech./B.E. (Chemical/Mechanical/Production Engineering)
• MBA (Operations)

Experience

:

• Minimum 18+ years in continuous process plants, with at least 5 years as Plant Head experience of handling multiple plant operations at a leadership position.
• Role may require traveling to multiple locations

• Leadership: Strong decision-making, crisis management, and people skills.
• Expertise in manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning.
• Expertise in process optimization, OEE, TPM, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-development skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as business unit / profit center head in a mid-sized company.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Knowledge of ERP/SAP (PP/PM modules), MES, SCADA.
