Database Developer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases. Design and implement database structures, tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and scripts. Plan and execute database migrations across environments with minimal downtime. Perform backup and recovery tasks, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Monitor database performance and implement tuning techniques. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database-driven applications. Maintain documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures. Enforce database standards, procedures, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 4+ years of experience as a DBA with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server. Strong experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning. Hands-on experience with database development (stored procedures, functions, triggers). Proven experience with database migration and upgrade strategies. Understanding of database security, permissions, and access control. Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, or other MS SQL tools is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
