Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Costing - Should Cost professional based in Chennai. The primary responsibilities include analyzing cost structures, managing cost control initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate cost management. The role involves working closely with finance teams to align cost strategies with organizational goals, conducting detailed cost analysis, and providing actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and optimization.

Qualifications

• Should be well versed with various manufacturing processes and cost estimation methods
• Very good knowledge in selected commodity – Sheet metal / Machining
• Well aware of Method & Process identification
• Strong experience in machine selection & Cycle time calculation
• Ability to identify the processes based on physical verification / images of the part
• Should be aware of welding process & cost implications for welding.
• Should have knowledge on Costing/Estimation process & deriving the Should cost for the given assembly/component.

·       Should be capable of process identification for casting/forging/machining manufacturing process

·       Generate ideas on cost saving by competitive benchmarking

• Knowledge on VA/VE process, approach and cost estimation
• Good Communication Skills in English – verbal and written
