Job Title: Business Development Executive (Upwork) Location: Indore, India Experience: 3+ years in Business Development / Lead Generation Job Summary We're looking for a highly motivated and target-oriented Business Development Specialist with a proven track record of generating leads and securing projects from freelancing platforms, particularly Upwork and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients seeking web, mobile, Shopify, and AI-driven software development services, ensuring a continuous pipeline of new business opportunities. This position offers a handsome bonus and commission structure based on performance. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities on freelancing platforms, with a primary focus on Upwork. Craft compelling proposals and bids tailored to client requirements on these platforms. Develop and execute strategies to consistently generate high-quality leads for web, mobile, Shopify, and AI-related software development projects. Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust and continuous pipeline of potential projects from initial contact to proposal submission. Track and manage all lead activities and communications within a CRM system (or designated tracking tool). Client Engagement & Communication: Engage with prospects through written communication, and potentially calls/video conferences, to understand their needs and articulate our solutions. Build and nurture relationships with potential clients to foster long-term partnerships. Market Understanding: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client demands within the freelancing platform ecosystem. Possess a good understanding of software development lifecycle for web and mobile applications, Shopify development, and AI concepts to effectively communicate with prospects. Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and project acquisition targets. Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize lead generation efforts. Required Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Lead Generation, specifically with a focus on freelancing platforms like Upwork. Demonstrable proficiency in lead generation using freelancing portals, especially Upwork, including advanced search techniques, proposal writing, and client communication. Strong ability to maintain a continuous pipeline of projects and manage multiple leads simultaneously. Excellent written communication skills in English are a must. Strong analytical skills to identify future trends and emerging opportunities on Upwork Jobs. Good understanding of software development processes for both web and mobile applications. Good understanding of Shopify platform capabilities and common AI concepts/applications. Target-oriented professional with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals. Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities. Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. Preferred Qualifications Preferably MCA (Master of Computer Applications) or BE (Bachelor of Engineering) in Computer Science
