Job description Job Title: Civil Billing Engineer – Finishing & Waterproofing Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Civil Billing Engineer with experience in Finishing and Waterproofing works to manage quantity take-offs, client billing, subcontractor billing, BOQ preparations, and site coordination. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing in line with project progress and contracts. Key Responsibilities: Billing & Documentation: Prepare client bills , running account (RA) bills , and final bills based on site execution and BOQ. Generate subcontractor bills after verifying joint measurements and work completion. Maintain billing logs , payment tracking sheets , and work order reports . Prepare and submit monthly reconciliation reports (material and quantities). Measurement & BOQ: Take site measurements (waterproofing, plastering, painting, tiling, and other finishing works). Prepare and verify BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and rate analysis for waterproofing and finishing items. Validate the work done as per drawings, specifications, and contracts . Coordination & Supervision: Liaise with site execution teams , contractors , and consultants for work progress verification. Support the planning team for project schedules with respect to work and billing progress. Ensure timely submission of bills and work reports to the client and internal management. Quality & Compliance: Check the compliance of work with IS standards and technical specifications. Coordinate with the QA/QC team for sign-off and measurement approvals. Support documentation for audits and claims . Required Skills & Qualifications: B.Tech only in Civil Engineering . 3–7 years of experience in billing and estimation , specifically in finishing and waterproofing works . Strong knowledge of measurement books (MB) , BOQ , and rate analysis . Proficiency in MS Excel , AutoCAD , and ERP software (SAP/Primavera/any construction ERP). Understanding of finishing materials (tiles, paint, plaster) and waterproofing systems (PU, bitumen, HDPE, membrane-based). Preferred Attributes: Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects . Good communication skills and coordination ability with multiple stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple subcontractors and ensure timely billing cycles .
