The candidate will own the responsibility of design, availability and maintenance of databases that support various critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, tune, and troubleshoot Oracle databases to provide high availability and reliability to the databases and applications running on them. Administer databases running on RAC in Exadata environments. Work with application teams, product teams and onshore DBA team to design, provision, maintain and tune Oracle databases. Adopt and learn new cloud technologies for use in Merative Healthcare solutions. Automate Manual Tasks and documentation of work. Primary Skills Required: 7 -10 years of relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture. Experience in working with RAC databases. Experience in working with multi-tenant databases. Experience with performance tuning. Experience with database backup, restoration, refresh using Recovery Manager (RMAN) Experience with database, schema, table level refresh using datapump. Experience with software Installation and Creation of 12c & 19c Databases on RAC and Non-RAC environments. Experience with database upgrades. Experience with cross-platform database migrations. Experience in working with Exadata machines and databases running on them. Experience working with ASM storage. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c. Experience in applying database, grid patches as per the organization policies. Experience with design, set up and maintenance of data guard environments. Experience in writing shell scripts will be an added advantage. Experience working with Postgres Databases. Installation, upgrades, tuning and troubleshooting expertise is highly required. Experience with OCI Cloud Implementation and Management Good knowledge of ITIL processes. Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable database operations. Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure database health and performance. Use tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to manage database infrastructure. Ensure the security of databases and applications by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits. Identify and resolve issues related to database performance, deployment, and infrastructure. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience: Proficiency in AWS cloud platform, SQL database management, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing SQL queries and database performance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Relevant certifications in AWS cloud technologies or SQL database management. Previous experience in a SQL and AWS engineering role or related field.
