Automation & Database Testing

Job Description:

A test engineer, skilled in Automation & Database Testing and possessing a strong background in

Database testing, plays a pivotal role in functional and regression validation and automation. This

individual is tasked with building and maintaining and automating regression workflows, as well as

ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product into production by identifying and preventing critical

defects from leaking into the production environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is

essential to understand changes and ensure adequate test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

 Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure

comprehensive test coverage of database-interfacing functionalities.

 Develop an automated regression suite for database-interacting functionalities by using

Java/Selenium/ Rest Assured automation frameworks.

 Create and implement Behavior Driven (BDD) test cases, test plans, and strategies in accordance

with project needs.

 Perform thorough Functional & Regression testing to validate functionality, reliability, and

performance.

 Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and performance issues using appropriate tools and

methodologies.

 Follow Agile model to track and manage sprints tasks using ADO which include Sprint Planning,

Execution and Retro.

 Troubleshoot Application, Environment or Data Issues

 Skill Set:

 8 + years of experience in testing diverse projects and handling complex testing scenarios.

 Experience in Database migration testing project.

 Experience in database testing, proficient in writing and testing complex queries.

 Experience in Java/ Selenium/ Rest Assured, proficient in writing automation scripts and

maintenance.

 Understanding of Sybase and MSSQL databases is a must.

 Good to have Data Analysis/Reconciliation experience.

 Knowledge of migration tools and techniques to ensure smooth transition from Sybase to MSSQL.

 Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), specifically writing feature files for

Cucumber Scenarios.

 Experience in using Git, ADO

 Great analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
