Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Charger Testing Engineer to join our testing team. The candidate will be responsible for testing electric vehicle (EV) chargers, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and durability standards as per industry requirements. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background with a hands-on attitude and a basic understanding of electrical testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct performance and safety testing of EV chargers (AC/DC).
• Perform mechanical endurance tests, thermal tests, and vibration tests on charger components.
• Set up and operate testing rigs and mechanical fixtures for evaluation.
• Record test data, analyze results, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Identify faults and escalate issues to design or quality teams.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers for joint testing (electro-mechanical interfaces).
• Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with internal and external standards (e.g., BIS, IEC, ISO).
• Maintain and calibrate mechanical testing equipment.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized testing environment.
• Support R&D in prototype evaluation and validation.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thermal sensors).
• Familiarity with testing protocols and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Safety-conscious mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

• Prior experience in EV charger testing or automotive component validation.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or related quality systems.
• Basic knowledge of data acquisition systems and test software.

Working Conditions:

• Lab and field testing environment.
• May require occasional travel to client or field locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
