Overview:

Titan, a leading company in the Watches & Wearables industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Design Manager to join our team in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India. As the Technical Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of our innovative and high-quality watches and wearables. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of new watches and wearables, from concept to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development, and marketing to ensure product designs meet technical and business requirements
• Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and support throughout the design process
• Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements to incorporate into product designs
• Oversee the creation of technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes for new products
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product designs can be feasibly produced
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity within the design team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, preferably in the watches and wearables industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of product development processes
• Proven experience managing and leading a team of designers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient in design software such as CAD and Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in watch and wearable production
• Familiarity with industry trends and advancements in technology

Additional Parameters:

• Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping is a plus
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is preferred
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and industry events as needed
