Description
We are seeking an experienced and talented Shopify Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing Shopify stores. You will design responsive and engaging user interfaces, integrate third-party apps, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our e-commerce platforms. This is a full-time office-based role in Sikanderpur, Gurrugram. Key Responsibilities: Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes and apps for websites. Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and Shopify Plus extensions to enhance the store functionality. Implement and maintain e-commerce best practices, ensuring a high- performing online store with seamless user experience. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and SEO, to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Apply SEO principles to improve site visibility and traffic. Ensure website compliance with modern web standards, security practices, and page speed optimization. Understand and translate our requirements into actionable technical tasks. Offer support and mentorship to junior team members, managing escalations and keeping projects on track. Key Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in Shopify development, including theme and app customization. Expert knowledge in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify APIs (e.g., Cart/Section Rendering API), and Shopify Checkout extensions. Familiarity with Shopify 2.0 and the implementation of page speed optimizations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug, test, and optimize Shopify stores. Experience with GTM, GA4, and SEO best practices, along with custom data layer event implementation. Experience in migrating an existing e-commerce site (e.g., Magento to Shopify) to the Shopify platform. Bonus if expert in using Git, Themekit, Shopify CLI, and NPM for development. Ideal Experience: Expertise in front-end frameworks, particularly React.js. Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other CSS frameworks. Some Experience with REST APIs/GraphQL and Webpack/Vite. Experience with Shopify Plus scripts, Checkout UI Extensions, and Branding APIs. Knowledge of REST APIs/GraphQL for extended functionality. Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, particularly related to UI/UX design. Qualifications: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in web development, specifically with Shopify. Proven track record of managing and implementing Shopify projects from start to finish. Strong ability to work under your own initiative and resolve challenges before escalation. Ability to liaise with the product, marketing and design department to assess feasibility and scope of work. Some Experience with Git and version control systems. Preferred Qualifications: Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. A portfolio of previous Shopify projects or contributions. Willingness to mentor junior developers and assist in their growth.
