Job Description

The role may also include joining business of any of our group entity including but not limited to banking business of our group entity conducted out of offshore location or international financial services centers (including Gift City*).


*Note: Our group entity is currently considering having operations in Gift city and yet to get operational.


Job Purpose


The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients in the GIFT City branch of Mashreq. This role involves developing new business opportunities, deepening existing relationships, and ensuring high-quality customer service while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. The RM will also contribute to the bank’s overall growth strategy by identifying and structuring appropriate financial solutions for clients.


Key Result Areas: --


  • Business Development & Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their financial needs and offering suitable banking solutions.
  • Originate, structure, and execute corporate banking deals, including trade finance, working capital loans, and treasury products.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Financial Performance C Revenue Generation
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets by acquiring new clients and deepening wallet share with existing ones.
  • Ensure effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage credit risks.
  • Risk and Compliance Management
  • Ensure that all transactions comply with internal credit policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory guidelines set by RBI, IFSC Authority, and UAE Central Bank.
  • Conduct due diligence on clients, assess financial health, and recommend credit limits.
  • Work closely with Mashreq risk management and compliance teams to mitigate potential threats.
  • Client Servicing C Operational Efficiency
  • Provide exceptional client service by ensuring smooth execution of transactions and addressing any banking-related concerns.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Risk Management, GTB, TCM, IBG Branches, Operations) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client issues, complaints, and queries.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


• 9-12 years of experience in Corporate Banking, preferably in trade finance, structured lending, or treasury sales.

• Strong understanding of banking regulations in India (RBI, IFSC)

• Proven ability to develop and maintain high-value corporate client relationships.

• Experience in credit analysis, risk management, and financial structuring.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills to influence client decisions.

• Familiarity with GIFT City financial regulations and incentives is a plus.

• Batchelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related fields; CFA/MBA preferred
