Role Overview:

Senior Product Designer

Key Responsbilities:

Design Strategy:

• Facilitate brainstorming session with the Design manager, Product Manager and cross functional teams to identify and prioritize the most critical design features based on user needs, product goals, and technical feasibility.
• Establish the design vision for the product, ensuring consistency across multiple touch-points, ensuring a smooth, intuitive experience across the platform.

Ideation & Concept Development:

• Create (low or high fidelity) wireframes and or interactive prototypes to simulate user interactions with the product.
• Design intuitive and aesthetically engaging interfaces by focusing on layout, typography, color schemes, and iconography, while ensuring alignment with design systems, web accessibility standards, and effective data visualization principles.
• Ensure designs are adaptable across various screen sizes and device and accessible within the digital products, focusing on aesthetics, usability, and clarity.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with design peers (UX Research, Information Architecture, Content Design), Design Manager, Instructional Design, other stakeholders (Product Managers, Engineers, Curriculum Development) to ensure alignment on design goals, technical constraints, and product requirements.
• Communicate design ideas and rationale to internal teams, and stakeholders (Instructional Designers, Product Managers, Product Owner, Engineers, CDev) in work sessions and or design reviews.
• Collaborate with design peers (UXR, IA, CD) to establish reusable UI components, design patterns, and style guides to ensure consistency across the product.
• Understand industry trends and market demands to guide design decisions and stay relevant.
• Act as the voice of the user, ensuring that design decisions align with user needs and the overall product vision.

Implementation Support:

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the design is implemented correctly, ensuring that user experience is preserved during the build phase.
• Provide developers with detailed design specs, assets, and guidelines for accurate implementation after receiving approval from the Product Manager in the final design review.
• Review the final product to ensure the design is consistent and functional across devices and platforms.
• Play a key role in shaping the long-term design vision for products, Advocating the design system and contribute to overall product strategy.
