Job Title: Senior Accountant Industry: Freight Forwarding Location: Cochi, India Employment Type : Full – Time Year of Experience: 4 - 5 Years Company Name : GSM Shipping & Cargo LLC https://www.gsmshipping.net/ We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the end-to-end finance function for our operations in India, Dubai (UAE), KSA, and Qatar. The ideal candidate should have strong working knowledge of GST, PF, taxation, invoicing, compliance, and other finance and regulatory aspects within the shipping and logistics domain. Key Responsibilities : Handle complete end-to-end accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations , and general ledger. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in coordination with the Dubai finance team. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all offices – UAE, KSA, and Qatar, in coordination with front-office operations. Manage GST filings, TDS, and income tax compliance for India and support VAT processes for Gulf regions. Handle PF, ESI , and payroll-related compliance in India. Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits and ensure compliance with all accounting standards. Maintain and update intercompany transactions and reconciliations between regional offices. Prepare MIS reports , cost analysis, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Liaise with banks, vendors, and regulatory authorities when required. Contribute to process improvements and automation within the finance function. Qualifications : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce / accounting / finance. Minimum 4–5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the shipping/logistics industry. Solid understanding of GST, PF, TDS, and Indian statutory requirements. Familiarity with VAT practices in UAE/KSA/Qatar is a strong advantage. Proficient in ERP software (Oracle, Tally), and Excel Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong communication skills to coordinate with the Dubai front office and other regional teams.
