SAS Monitoring Engineer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain SAS Viya and SAS 9.4 environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Utilize

    SAS Workflow Orchestrator/Manager

    ,

    Enterprise Session Monitor (ESM)

    , and

    SAS Environment Manager

    for proactive system health and process monitoring.
  • Integrate and maintain

    SonarQube

    or equivalent tools for enforcing code quality and static analysis across SAS codebases.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement

    code review automation

    and quality checks.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization for

    SQL queries

    , particularly with

    Snowflake

    data sources.
  • Develop and maintain

    Unix shell scripts

    for automation of monitoring, alerting, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the SAS platform and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for system performance and job health metrics.
