As the team grows, we are looking to hire a senior engineering leader that will also be the engineering site lead for India. India Engineering Site Lead Responsibilities As HubSpot's most senior engineering leader in India, you will also serve as the India Site Lead, responsible for establishing and growing our new development center. They are: Technical Leadership Leading teams building innovative products and services that work with cloud providers and integrate third-party systems Collaborating with other engineering leaders on all matters that impact the Engineering team, including resourcing and building technology/product vision Pushing the team to build software that's useful, usable, delightful, and solves real customer pain Working with vendors to explore third-party capabilities and secure contracts People & Team Development Coaching and mentoring engineering teams, including code reviews, higher-level software design, and direct management Building a world-class engineering organization in India that matches HubSpot's high bar for talent and culture Creating career development pathways for engineers in a new geography Establishing mentorship programs and technical excellence initiatives India Site Operations Serving as the primary engineering leader and face of HubSpot engineering in India Partnering with global recruiting teams to build robust hiring pipelines and processes Establishing relationships with top engineering universities and technical communities Working with facilities teams to plan office expansion from initial setup to 50+ person capacity Implementing best practices for hybrid work management with 4-day in-office requirements Building bridges between India and US teams through effective communication and collaboration protocols Driving operational excellence in areas like employee onboarding, IT infrastructure, and workplace experience Creating a culture where both India and US team members feel equally valued and included What We're Looking For 15+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership roles Experience building and leading distributed systems and platforms Track record of scaling engineering organizations, ideally in a new geography or site Strong technical background in distributed systems Experience with cross-cultural team building and international operations Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence across all levels of the organization Business acumen to balance technical excellence with practical delivery Experience working with or in India's technology ecosystem is highly preferred Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about building something from the ground up If you're an engineering leader of any level or experience, and if this resonates with you, let's talk.
