Job Title: Purchase Coordinator – Food Industry Location: Thiruvananthapuram Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Purchase Coordinator with a strong background in the food and beverage industry . The ideal candidate will manage the procurement process, source quality food products, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies in line with quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and kitchen essentials. Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and management to understand daily and weekly requirements. Source and negotiate with reliable vendors to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. Maintain and update inventory and procurement records. Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages or overstock. Ensure all procured items meet the required food safety and hygiene standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. Handle invoice processing and support in budget control. Track deliveries and resolve any order issues or delays. Requirements: Proven experience in purchase or supply chain , preferably in the food industry . Strong negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards. Knowledge of vendor management and inventory systems. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, kitchen-driven environment. Proficiency in MS Excel or procurement software is a plus.
