Job Purpose:

To lead the English department in delivering high-quality teaching, research, and curriculum development. The Professor of English will mentor students, contribute to institutional development, and promote excellence in communication skills and human values aligned with the college’s vision.

Qualifications:

  • Educational:

    Ph.D. in English or related discipline (Mandatory)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5-10 years of teaching/research experience in reputed institutions

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Teach undergraduate courses in English, Communication Skills, and Professional Ethics.
  • Design, review, and update course content to align with AICTE and RTU guidelines.
  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars using innovative pedagogical techniques.
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and exams.

Academic Leadership

  • Lead curriculum development initiatives in English communication and soft skills.
  • Mentor junior faculty members and contribute to faculty development programs.
  • Organize guest lectures, conferences, FDPs, and other academic events.

Student Mentorship & Development

  • Provide academic and career counseling to students.
  • Encourage student participation in debates, communication clubs, and other co-curricular activities.
  • Promote ethical and value-based education.

Administrative & Institutional Contribution

  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
  • Contribute to NAAC, NBA, and other accreditation processes.
  • Assist in admission counselling, placement training, and public outreach activities.
