Production Supervisor – Façade Systems

Role Overview

As a Production Supervisor, you will be directly responsible for the day-to-day management of façade fabrication operations. You will supervise technicians and fitters, ensure adherence to fabrication schedules, maintain quality and safety, and be a key player in delivering complex façade projects on time and within specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities for aluminum and steel façade systems (curtain walls, cladding, unitized panels, etc.)
• Allocate tasks to fitters, welders, and helpers based on priority and resource availability
• Interpret shop drawings and ensure correct implementation in fabrication
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and consumables as per the daily production plan
• Monitor productivity of workforce, minimize downtime, and ensure efficient use of machines and manpower
• Conduct regular quality checks at every stage of fabrication to ensure components meet dimensional accuracy and surface finishing standards
• Ensure safety protocols and housekeeping (5S) are followed strictly on the shop floor
• Maintain daily reports on production output, labor utilization, and issues faced
• Provide on-the-job training and support to junior staff and ensure continuous improvement in workmanship
• Report to the Production Engineer/Manager with regular updates and escalate concerns where needed

Key Requirements

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field
• 5–8 years of experience in supervising façade fabrication, preferably in aluminum and glass systems
• Proven experience handling curtain wall, cladding, canopy, and bracket fabrication
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, machining, assembly, and finishing
• Ability to read and understand shop/fabrication drawings
• Good understanding of CNC routing machines, cutting saws, and measurement tools
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines
