Job Purpose:

Support the design-to-production lifecycle by developing garment samples aligned with buyer requirements, with a strong focus on denim product development. The role involves fabric sourcing, coordinating sampling, and understanding the complete garment construction process to ensure timely and quality sample delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the design and sampling teams to develop denim products from concept to final prototype.
• Source suitable fabrics, trims, and materials required for sample development, with a focus on denim.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of denim washes, treatments, and sewing techniques.
• Prepare and follow up on tech packs, sample comments, and approvals.
• Work with pattern masters and tailors to guide them through sample stitching and garment construction.
• Conduct basic cost estimation for developed products.
• Assist in creating product development timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain sample records, fabric libraries, and development trackers.
• Communicate with buyers or buying agents on sampling updates under the guidance of senior team members.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Merchandising.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product development within the fashion/garment industry.
• Strong knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, and stitching processes.
• Ability to translate design concepts into physical samples.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of product costing and development processes.
• Good coordination and communication skills in both Hindi and English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Illustrator or CAD tools is a plus.
