PMC Site Engineer Civil Construction - MGL It's a 1 year of contract and further extendable candidate will be on our payroll i.e on M.M.K payroll. Construction Phase: 1) Day to day supervision of on-going construction of civil and electrical work as instructed by MGL EIC. 2) Ensure that the contractor maintains proper labour force from time to time to complete the specified departmental work and communicate the same to MGL EIC. 3) Assist MGL EIC in technical checking of the on-going work. 4) Estimate material requirements i.e., steel, cement, sand etc., for site activities. 5) Maintain curing records. 6) To ensure housekeeping at site. 7) Inspection of incoming materials like cables, electrical fixtures, Circuit breakers etc., ensuring it complies with MGL Technical Specifications. 8) Engineer shall carry out inspection of all Construction material received at site as per approved QAP & Inspection checklist and accordingly certify/reject the material as applicable. 9) Ensure that all the material brought to the site is as per construction drawing & contract specification. Engineer shall obtain MTCs (Material Test Certificate), Delivery challans of construction materials, etc., of all materials brought to site and shall record the same as per instructions of EIC. The site supervisor shall also Verify & Certify material test certificates received from contractor and maintain a record of TCs and Inspection reports. 10) Ensure preliminary preparation of different stages of work-related activities i.e., layout, strata, RCC work, masonry work, plastering, painting, water proofing, plumbing etc., before commencement of new activity, 11) Supervision of construction activities as per contract agreement. 12) Certification and verification of joint measurement sheets which are recorded by contractor along with MGL representatives. 13) Prepare progress chart. 14) Maintain daily and weekly reports format finalized by MGL EIC. 15) Follow up with contractor for execution of work as per given specifications/drawings or as per MGL Engineer's instruction. 16) Detailed study of the specifications of the project, drawings etc. 17) To check the shuttering drawings prepared by contractor especially for the canopy shuttering above 4.5m height. 18) Certify the material received at site against factory test certificate by verifying make grade/ batch number, heat number etc. 19) Ensure workmanship of all items. 20) Ensure concrete cubes are taken for cube test and maintain record of the same, i.e., casting date & testing date. 21) Ensure safety at site by enforcing PPEs and MGL life savers rule. 22) Check measurement on daily basis as per MGL format. 23) To work out excess/saving quantities against PO quantity. 24) To record measurements with diagrams/sketches of site activities on daily basis jointly with contractor on measurement sheets and submit the same to MGL engineer. Job Profile Your primary responsibilities (but not limited to) for this post are as follows: Assisting in concept design, planning of projects, preparation of Municipal drawings, Interior layouts etc.(while adopting the formats and standards of the firm). Checking of drawings prepared by junior architects before submission Ensuring that the plans, drawings, reports, submission letters are checked by the principal before submission by the administrative staff for the project under your purview. Giving updates regarding projects, meetings, submissions and approvals for the project under your purview. Good communication skills with patience to stick to deadlines is a must. Existing knowledge of DCPR, municipal drawings is a must. Existing knowledge of preparation of MCGM BP reports is a preferred. Ability to adapt and learn fast changing regulations is a must.
