Payroll Specialist

Job Summary: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation of employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves calculating wages, maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, and coordinating with HR and Finance teams. Key Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time. Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Verify employee time records, hours worked, and pay rates. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws. Handle new hire setup, employee changes, terminations, and benefit deductions in the payroll system. Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries to HR and Finance teams. Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll policies. Collaborate with auditors during internal or external audits. Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel data. Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or related HR/accounting function. Strong understanding of payroll practices, taxes, and labor laws. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Grety HR portal is Preferred.
