Manual Testing Engineer (IoT)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Manual Testing Engineer (IoT) to join our QA team. This role requires a strong understanding of both software and hardware systems to ensure quality assurance across embedded systems, cloud platforms, and IoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements and specifications to develop structured and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual testing across different stages: functional, integration, system, and regression.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, hardware engineers, and QA team to troubleshoot issues and enhance product quality.
• Prepare clear and concise test documentation, reports, and release notes.
• Perform hardware-level validation by checking physical connections, verifying signal behaviour, and using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Conduct firmware-hardware compatibility testing through complete system-level validation.
• Participate in design and code review meetings to provide input on testability and usability.
• Ensure that the final product meets the required performance and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in manual testing, in embedded systems or IoT-based environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with hardware testing tools like multimeters, logic analysers, or oscilloscopes.
• Experience working with firmware/software integration and debugging.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
