Maintenance Manager

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for managing, supervising, and motivating a team of maintenance technicians. Your role will involve providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the efficient and timely completion of maintenance tasks. You will be required to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules, communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and address issues promptly to ensure smooth operations. Your duties will include assigning tasks to technicians, prioritizing workloads, and monitoring progress to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget. You will inspect and maintain facilities, equipment, and systems such as AC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. Additionally, you will implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity. In this role, you will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs or coordinate with specialized contractors when necessary. You will also assist with departmental budgets, track maintenance expenditures, and manage inventory of tools and supplies. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and relevant guidelines will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair costs will be essential. You will evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement. A good understanding of industrial equipment, including machinery used in fabrication, electrical systems, welding processes, materials, and safety procedures is crucial for this role. Your ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with fabrication equipment, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to unexpected situations will be tested. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in fabrication shops is required. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste will be considered an added advantage.,
