Job Description

This role is identifying and initiating contact with potential M&A targets (sell-side), strategic acquirers (buy-side) and potential companies suitable for IPO.


The specialist will perform targeted research and execute personalized outreach to promoters, founders, and key decision-makers, aiming to schedule qualified introductory meetings for the partner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Target Identification:

    Systematically identify companies that fit predefined M&A / IPO criteria (industry, revenue, growth stage, strategic fit) through industry databases, news, and market intelligence.
  • Database Management:

    Build and maintain a robust CRM/database of identified companies, their promoters/founders, and relevant contact information.
  • Personalized Outreach:

    Craft and execute highly personalized outreach campaigns (via email, LinkedIn, and strategic cold calls) to introduce our M&A / IPO intermediation services and gauge interest.
  • Relationship Nurturing:

    Follow up with prospects, share relevant industry insights, and nurture initial interest to warm up leads.
  • Meeting Scheduling:

    Successfully schedule and confirm qualified first meetings/calls between interested promoters/founders/CXOs and the partner.
  • Preliminary Information Gathering:

    Collect essential preliminary information about potential deals during initial interactions to qualify them for further engagement.
  • Reporting:

    Track all outreach activities, pipeline status, and provide regular performance reports.


Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on professional and persuasive outreach.
  • High degree of persistence, resilience, and a proactive mindset.
  • Basic understanding of business fundamentals and M&A / IPO concepts (or a strong willingness to learn rapidly).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (or similar platforms).
  • Email Marketing/Outreach Tools (Basic):

    Familiarity with tools for personalized bulk email campaigns (e.g., Mailmerge in Outlook, Gmass, tools within CRM).
  • Basic Financial Literacy:

    Understanding of core business metrics (revenue, profit, growth rates) and the M&A / IPO landscape.
  • Attention to Detail:

    Essential for accurate research, data entry, and personalized messaging.
  • Persistence & Resilience:

    The ability to handle rejection, follow up consistently without being aggressive, and maintain motivation in the face of long sales cycles.
