Job Description: Trade Trainer for Tool and Die Maker The Tool & Die Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs related to tool and die making, press operations, and related manufacturing processes. This role focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of trainees, apprentices, and employees to meet the organization's manufacturing standards and requirements. The specialist will utilize their extensive hands-on experience in tool and die making, along with their expertise in conventional and CNC machining, to create effective training aids and deliver impactful training sessions. Responsibilities: Training Program Development: Derive and define the necessary skills and knowledge required to develop training aids and content related to Tool & Die making trade. Apprenticeship Program Management: Execute the Apprenticeship training program related to the Tool Maker trade at the Skill Development Center (SDC). Monitor and evaluate On the Job training at the plant, ensuring adherence to training standards and objectives. Conducting their theory and practical exams of trainees as per schedule. Maintaining progress records of trainees. Infrastructure and Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all training infrastructure, including machines, tools, and training materials, to support qualitative and quantitative training delivery. Maintain a safe and organized training workshop environment, adhering to 5S principles and safety standards. Promote and enforce safety standards and practices within the training workshop. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines. Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on expertise in tool and die making operations and activities. Must be having knowledge of basic workshop activities like filing, number punching, drilling, and hammering. Use of all tools and equipment required for mentioned activities. Demonstrate proficiency in press operation, die repair, and proving. Operate conventional machines (milling, turning, grinding) and CNC machines with precision. Effective utilization of resources. 5. 100% Adherence to standard operation procudres to deliver components parts with Zero defects Responsibilities Accountabilities Responsible to execute activities in assembly function to ensure on time delivery of Defect free products, Spares and services Execution of assembly activities and looking for ways for improvement /driving continual improvement initiatives ideated by senior leaders on Quality, Delivery and Cos Follow/ suggest updation in assembly processes to enable continuous reduction in cost of production and work with a culture of cost consciousness in the organisatio Work towards for maintaining COPQ(Cost of Poor Quality) from assembly processes within the acceptable target limits Ensure responsiveness to customer needs Work with SIC and team for Customer complaint Analysis and resolution and Solving of key critical complaints using QC story methodology Work with the SIC to ensure amendments that arise due to internal and external customer requirements are met accurately Execute daily work load assigned by supervisors Engineers Adhering the Cyle time for all production parts Collect the BOM parts from assembly stores and Verify with router MTS for operation. Ensure the availability materials are provided by the assembly stores to acheive the target Following Maintaining the TQM and 5s in metallic shop Optimum utilization of resources like (Material, Machine) Manufacturing the FAI,Production parts out put with 100% quality Fallowing the Route card Process document executing the actvities as per process AOPs Guide the fresh technicians on job training to improove their skill level Ensure the machine/tool is working to the required level to meet the targets Assembly work instructions to be followed, using of Pneumatic Hand tools and cutting tools. Working Knowledge on Consumables specification, Preparation Application and shelf life, Expiry details Jigs Fixtures calibration to check before starting of work. Ensure the inspection parameters as mentioned in MTS by filling SIR report with respective calibrated instruments Stages to be moved on ERP after completing the work order operations. OLE (Work order scanning) should be achieved more than 90 percentage as planned. Follow PPE In Work Place Identify Near miss and implemented kaizen for every month. Working knowledge on Bush Helicoil and Pin installation opeartions Work with the automation team to identify use cases and drive automation / process improvement initiatives within the assembly function Update oneself on the latest technologies and tools within assembly and suggest / use these within the function Drive continuous learning and skilling of operators on soft and hard skills essential for the assembly department Track performance measures of the operators and individuals to consistently provide feedback and improve performance
