Education: Degree in B.Des or Jewelry Design from NIFT, Pearl Academy, JD Institute, UID, IIGJ etc. (Candidates (Candidates from NIFT preferred)

Experience Required: 3+ years of experience in jewelry design, preferably with leadership or mentoring exposure. NIFT alumni preferred.

Job Summary:

The Senior Jewellery Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and developing premium, trend-forward jewelry collections that align with brand identity and market demand. This role involves mentoring junior designers, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that every design is both aesthetically captivating and feasible for production. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of artistic flair, deep technical knowledge, and strategic insight into consumer and market trends.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative jewelry designs based on client requirements and market trends.

Lead the design development of seasonal and project-based jewelry collections.

Translate business briefs and market insights into commercially successful designs.

Review and approve technical drawings and CAD models, ensuring feasibility and design integrity.

Guide junior designers and review their work for quality and alignment.

Conduct market and competitor research and present insights to the team.

Work with CAD designers and production teams to bring concepts to reality.

Maintain quality checks and design standards across all outputs.

Collaborate with senior management to propose innovative design directions.

Maintain an archive of trends, inspirations, and past designs for future reference.

Participate in client presentations, trade shows, and design exhibitions if required.

Skills Required:

Strong portfolio demonstrating innovation and craftsmanship.

Expert in sketching, CAD tools (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, etc.), and manual design.

In-depth knowledge of precious stones, metals, and finishing techniques.

Ability to balance creative aesthetics with commercial appeal.

Team leadership, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience in working with manufacturing teams and production processes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

[KPI 1] – Deliver high-quality, production-feasible designs with a 95% first-time approval rate.

[KPI 2] – Launch at least 2 market-responsive collections per quarter with strong commercial feedback.

[KPI 3] – Mentor and upskill junior designers, leading to increased team efficiency and creativity.
