Job Title Advisor, Systems Engineering Fiserv is seeking a Mainframe Automation Engineer that has extensive experience in mainframe system automation technologies. This individual should be self-motivated and driven to help contribute toward the success of our mainframe technology initiatives. This person will work in a team environment supporting multiple systems in a highly redundant and robust mainframe environment. Responsibilities Include Create and Maintain OPS/MVS REXX rules, SSM tables, and programs Resolve Automation issues Collaborate with other infrastructure, application, and operations areas on their automation needs. Provide support during z/OS Upgrades Participate in DR recovery and testing Work with vendors for system support and problem resolution Provide 12X5 on-call support as part of a team rotation Ability to learn new automation technologies such as Python, Groovy/Java, and Jenkins Pipelines. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience At least 12 + years of experience with mainframe technologies Preferred Skills/Experience Extensive experience in: Mainframe technologies Technical troubleshooting of OPS/MVS issues Complex z/OS Sysplex environments Automating mainframe tasks across our environment. Subject matter expert in: REXX Programming OPS/MVS IPL and shutdown processing Subsystems such as CICS, IMS, JES2, MQ, and DB2 HMC operations JCL Knowledge of BMC products.
