HOD Sports Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Sports Management Department. As the Head of Department (HOD), you will be responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, strategic planning, and overseeing all operational aspects of our sports management programs. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in the sports industry and a passion for sports education, events, analytics, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Academic Leadership:
• Design, develop, and periodically update the curriculum for UG/PG Sports Management programs.
• Ensure academic quality, alignment with industry standards, and innovative delivery methods.
• Supervise faculty members and guest lecturers.
• Industry Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong networks with sports leagues, federations, teams, event organizers, and industry partners
• Facilitate internships, live projects, and placement opportunities for students
• Program Operations & Strategy:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the department, including admissions, classes, events, and student mentorship
• Plan academic calendars, events, workshops, and exposure visits
• Lead new initiatives and partnerships in sports management education
• Marketing & Outreach:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote programs through seminars, webinars, and social media
• Represent the department in conferences, career fairs, and industry forums
• Research & Development:
• Encourage faculty and student research in areas like sports analytics, performance management, and event economics
• Stay updated on trends in the global sports industry and integrate them into learning modules

• Requirements:-

• Master’s degree or higher in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 6-10 years of experience in sports industry, education, or sports event management
• Strong knowledge of league operations, sports analytics, marketing, and sponsorships
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven track record in managing academic or corporate sports programs

Preffered:-

• Prior experience working with sports universities, educational institutions, or professional sports organizations
• Strong industry network across India and globally
• Passion for mentoring the next generation of sports professionals
