Head of Public Relations

AstaGuru, India’s premier online auction house, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Public Relations to lead our PR function from our Mumbai headquarters. This is a unique opportunity to shape the voice of a brand at the intersection of art, culture, and luxury.

Since 2008, AstaGuru has specialized in curating online auctions of fine art, antiques, and collectibles—achieving global recognition and record-breaking sales. Now we’re looking for a strategic communicator to elevate our brand visibility and media presence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with brand and marketing goals.

Cultivate relationships with top-tier media, journalists, and influencers in the art and luxury sectors.

Draft and review press releases, media kits, and articles that reflect the brand’s voice and values.

Lead PR efforts for high-profile auctions, exhibitions, and events—including pre-event buzz and post-event coverage.

Act as a company spokesperson and manage crisis communications when necessary.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, leadership, and sales teams for consistent messaging.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, or related field; Master’s preferred.

10+ years of experience in a senior PR role, ideally in the art, luxury, or lifestyle industry.

Proven ability to secure top-tier media placements and manage reputational risk.

Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Strong network of media contacts and influencers.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a collaborative mindset.
