Head of Design Department

Key Responsibilities: 1. Design Strategy & Innovation Define the creative vision and design philosophy of the brand. Develop seasonal design calendars, concept boards, and themes. Research global trends, cultural influences, and materials to inspire design direction. Create unique, trend-forward, and brand-aligned jewellery collections. 2. Team Leadership & Development Lead and manage a team of jewellery designers and CAD professionals. Provide creative guidance, technical feedback, and performance reviews. Encourage skill development and innovation across the design team. 3. Product Development Collaborate with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with pricing, target audience, and production capabilities. Ensure timely delivery of collections and custom design projects. 4. Client & Market Focus Customize designs for key clients, premium markets, and special projects. Ensure a balance between creativity and commercial viability. Required Skills & Competencies: 5-8 years of experience. Must've handled a team of designers. NIFT graduates preferred. Deep knowledge of jewellery trends, materials, techniques, and traditional/modern aesthetics. Strong sketching, visualization, and design presentation skills. Proficiency in design tools like CorelDRAW, Rhino, Matrix. Exceptional leadership, communication, and time management skills. Attention to detail and a strong sense of luxury design and branding.
