Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Hardware & Networking Engineer or Technician who can independently design, install, configure, and troubleshoot basic to medium-scale computer networks. The ideal candidate should have field experience in setting up LANs, configuring routers/switches, terminating network cables, and providing desktop-level support.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement basic network layouts (LAN, peer-to-peer, workgroup-based)Set up and configure routers, switches, access points, and network printersPerform structured cabling (CAT6/CAT5e), crimping, patch panel installation, etc.Install and configure desktop systems, printers, and shared resourcesTroubleshoot hardware and network issues on-site and remotelyCoordinate with vendors and support teams for escalated issuesCreate basic network documentation (IP plans, layout diagrams)Perform preventive maintenance and basic IT audits at client locations
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware and networkingStrong knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and basic routingExperience with SOHO routers (TP-Link, D-Link, Netgear, etc.), switches, and firewallsAbility to work independently and handle client interactions confidentlyKnowledge of Windows OS installation, drivers, antivirus, printers, etc.Good communication skills in English and Hindi (local language a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or Graduate in IT/Computer Science/ElectronicsCCNA (preferred but not mandatory)Experience with wireless network deployments in offices or institutionsPrior work with Govt./educational institutions is a bonus
