Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager – Sales to lead the sales function for our hotel operations in Kolkata. The role is critical to developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth across all key segments — corporate, MICE, leisure, OTA, and travel trade. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strong relationships in the market, and a proven track record in hotel sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed room and banquet revenue targets.
• Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to corporate clients, travel agents, MICE planners, and digital channels.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders in the Kolkata and eastern India region.
• Oversee performance across B2B, B2C, and OTA sales verticals.
• Identify new market segments and business opportunities to increase revenue streams.
• Work closely with marketing and revenue management to align pricing, promotions, and brand positioning.
• Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses for senior management.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel sales, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong network in the Kolkata/eastern India hospitality market.
• Proven experience in managing corporate, MICE, and travel trade accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with hotel PMS, CRM systems, and OTA platforms.

Preferred Background:

• Experience with 3-star to 5-star hotel chains.
• Exposure to both leisure and corporate segments.

Salary:

INR 45,000 to 55,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications .
