Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager Department: Operations Reports To: Regional Operations Head / Warehouse Manager Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in warehouse/DC operations Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Operations or Supply Chain Management Industry Preference: Minimum 2–3 industries experience; experience in Distribution Center (DC) operations is a must Role Summary: The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the distribution center, including inbound, sorting, picking, outbound, and inventory management. The individual is expected to manage large teams, optimize productivity, maintain safety and hygiene standards, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to the regional P&L targets. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management Oversee all core warehouse functions: Inward, Sorting, Picking, Outbound, and Inventory. Ensure timely unloading of all vehicles and acknowledge receipt via email. Plan and allocate manpower based on volume fluctuations and layout requirements. Independently manage a team of 150+ warehouse staff, promoting effective teamwork. Drive loss control initiatives and productivity improvements at the site. Analyze operations miss reports and implement corrective actions. Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness across the warehouse premises. Ensure employee and facility safety without compromise. Respond promptly to customer queries and shipment discrepancies. Escalate non-compliance issues to management in a timely manner. Continuously evaluate and implement methods to improve site productivity. Regional P&L Management Maintain operational costs within budget and protect margins. Prevent operational inefficiencies that can lead to customer debits. Monitor P&L statements and implement corrective actions to align with budgetary expectations. Customer Relationship Management Support customer needs with timely communication and operational alignment. Address and resolve customer queries and escalations effectively. Share timely reports and proactively act to minimize customer complaints in coordination with the Warehouse Manager. Qualifications & Competencies: Graduate/Postgraduate in Operations or Supply Chain Management from a reputed institution. 4+ years of experience in warehouse/DC operations, preferably in a high-volume environment. Exposure to at least 2–3 industry verticals. Proficient in using SAP, WMS, and other warehouse tech platforms; tech-savvy with advanced IT skills. Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams. Analytical, with strong problem-solving and productivity optimization capabilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation handling skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational needs.
