We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Research Analyst and Financial Writer to join our dynamic team.

We are looking to hire individuals who are genuinely passionate about the Indian stock markets. A well-rounded understanding of the Indian market landscape, beyond just working on templated models for research. Most importantly, a real interest in investing and a habit of staying well-read on Indian businesses, sectors, and market trends. This role is not just about experience—it's about curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to form independent views on listed Indian companies.

As a Research Analyst and Financial Writer at Equitymaster Research Private Limited you will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth research, analyzing financial data, and translating complex information into clear, concise, and insightful written reports and articles. Your work will be instrumental in guiding our subscribers and contributing to our reputation as a trusted source of information.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental Research: Conduct fundamental equity research in Indian Markets using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Tracking: Sectors, Megatrends, and contrarian opportunities.
• Financial Writing: Write engaging and informative articles and reports on financial topics, with a particular focus on value investing, stock markets, sectors, trending topics, and individual stocks.
• Content & Presentation: Showcase research skills through other media channels, such as creating and presenting content in YouTube videos, live conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
• Special Updates: Sending out quick and timely alerts to subscribers on important stock, sector, regulatory, and market-specific actionable opportunities….with deep insights. Stay updated on financial news, regulations, and industry trends to maintain a deep understanding of the financial markets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, economics or business
• Minimum 4 years of experience in fundamental research, with proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research, financial modeling, and report writing.
• NISM-Series-XV: Research Analyst Certification
• Passion for and experience in financial writing, with a focus on value investing, stock markets, sectors, trending topics, and individual stocks.
• Drive to handle key responsibilities of financial writing and research products independently.
• Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and economic principles.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work.
